Visitors need 55 runs to seal 3-0 series whitewash
Pakistan are on the verge to lose the third and final Test against England in Karachi.
On Monday, England leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed dismissed five Pakistani batsmen in an innings and put his side on course for a victory after three days of play.
The hosts lost their last seven wickets for a mere 52 runs with captain Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel scoring half-centuries. They put 216 on the scoreboard before the visitors made 112-2 at the close of the day’s play, reducing the target to 55 runs with two days to play. Ben Duckett (50) and captain Ben Stokes (10) were unbeaten on the crease.
Earlier, England had won the first Test by 74 runs and the second by 26 runs with complete domination.
Commenting on the situation, a Twitter user said that “this is the lowest point in Pakistan cricket history” while another user demanded that Babar and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja must step down for taking Pakistan cricket to its lowest point in history.
